Following up the exciting console reveal of Project Scarlett, now officially known as Xbox Series X, Microsoft unveiled Senua's Saga: Hellblade II, the follow-up to 2018's Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice. As announced during The Game Awards, the game is once again coming from Ninja Theory, the studio Microsoft acquired back in June 2018.
The trailer showcases the graphical capabilities of Xbox One Series X, running completely in engine. It featured Senua chanting and a group of what appears to be devotees in front of a human sacrifice. The trailer would also occasionally cut to scenes of warriors approaching a curious looking mountain on a stormy beach. Before the trailer ends, it appears it wasn't a mountain after all, but a gigantic being hunched over, prior to rearing up once confronted by the approaching warriors.
